Ann Adams

Ann Adams is the principal of Ann Adams Consulting, a firm which specializes in leadership development solutions. Her expertise includes such areas as performance management, change management, team building and cross cultural communication, diversity, and inclusion.

Ann is a Leadership Consultant with Development Dimensions International (DDI), delivering workshops in the Interaction Management and Targeted Selection suite of products. She also delivers train-the-trainer programs for DDI. Additionally, Ann is a Channel Partner for The Ken Blanchard Companies™, delivering such programs as The SLII Experience and Legendary Service.

Over the course of her 25 year career, Ann has helped managers and leaders at all levels improve their leadership skills, thereby enabling them to achieve specific individual and organizational goals. She accomplishes this by incorporating her L.I.F.E. model in all her programs: Learn, Implement, Follow-up, Excel.

As Director of Management Development at Mattel, Inc., Ann was responsible for creating the Leadership Development Center, Mattel’s corporate university. Ann and her team developed, delivered, and evaluated leadership and employee training initiatives for Mattel worldwide. In addition, she was responsible for improving organization effectiveness and health through planned interventions in Mattel’s processes and systems, using behavioral-science knowledge.

Ann managed the training and organization development department at Miller Brewing Company in California. At Miller, she and her team facilitated the brewery shift to a team-based system, including educating senior executives on concepts such as employee empowerment and work group/team dynamics. She also implemented Miller’s Diversity Initiative, planning a variety of activities and training events to increase awareness and create a culture that valued differences.

At Development Dimensions International (DDI), Ann was responsible for training development and delivery in such areas as leadership and workforce development, customer service, performance management, and selection and assessment to a broad audience, including manufacturing, high technology, and service and administrative environments.

Ann has numerous certifications that make her uniquely qualified to provide leadership development solutions to her clients. She is a member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD, formerly ASTD), Human Resources People and Strategy (HRPS), and the Human Resources Strategy Forum (HRSF).

Ann received her M.S. in Organizational Development from Loyola University of Chicago.
